“The opportunity to experience American life and meet and live with American students in the United States was an experience that gave them an indescribable sense of pride.
Through WSB, our students who did not know God well or have not studied the Bible have come to know God more deeply. They have also been studying the Bible consistently. I think the WSB program has played a major role in this.”
- Kim Hyun-Sook (Hankkum School VP)
“We had a lot of fun together, but we also had a lot of meaningful interactions - like conversations about things that were really difficult or things that were related to our faith. At the retreat, they really loved reading our notes - messages about how God knows and loves them so personally and about how much value they have.
Even after the program ended we still keep in touch. They are more curious about who Jesus is after seeing peers who are Christian.”
- Faith Choi (U.S. Student)
“I am so grateful to have attended the Whitestone Bridge Camp. I’m thankful I got to know many teachers and friends through this camp. Through this camp, I learned more about the Bible and went to church more often.
I would like to say thank you to the teachers and friends at Whitestone Bridge. I will always remember my time at the Whitestone Bridge.”
- Sunyi (Hankkum Student)
”Even though it was a short camp, I sensed that the students could feel being loved. I am sure they ultimately realized that there is a God who loves them so much. When they came back to school, their lives have been changed. I see that they came to live as someone who feels loved.”
- Lee Song-Yi (Daum School Teacher)
“This was not simply an opportunity to meet friends in the US. I think there was a word from God through the program because it was a time to restore my relationship with Him. I feel that God is working in my life and my faith is stronger. He also gave me the heart to share His love. Because of this program, I decided to study abroad and am now preparing for that path.”
- Gaeun (Daum School Student)
“From time to time, I still read the letters written from the American students to the Korean students and it’s very emotional for me. It reminds me of the time I had in California. I think that summer was the greatest summer I’ve ever had in my life - not because of the activities that we participated in, but because of the people.”
- Yujin (Daum School Student)
